Considering the size of the project, the process was smooth and stress-free, it was completed on time, and the results were outstanding!
We had decided to completely renovate our 50-year-old apartment in the city center. Yiannis Limnioudis was recommended to us, so we got in touch. During our first on-site meeting he asked us about our wishes and started making excellent suggestions. He came up with imaginative ideas and it was clear from the beginning that he was a true professional who always saw opportunities for improvement and solutions to problems. He gave us an initial cost estimate and explained that he would be personally responsible for every aspect of the project and that all communication would go directly through him.
We then had meetings with Yiannis at the LIMNIOUDIS office together with the architect Lily Liberopoulou, to agree on the jobs that had to be done and the materials and fixtures that had to be used. We made decisions about the heat pump, radiators, air conditioning, solar water heater, external insulation, the old wood floors we wished to keep and the new flooring where required, the kitchen, the bathroom, new doors, and custom built-in bedroom furniture. The whole process was driven by our needs and how they could best be met. A wide variety of tile samples, laminate, paint colors, and catalogues of fixtures and fittings were at our display to view and select. Throughout the project Lily provided creative and practical input regarding the interior design and lighting choices.
After our meetings, Yiannis prepared a scope of work that outlined everything to be done, the exact costs, and the timeline. After discussions, changes, and agreements, we all signed the scope of work. Any extra work we requested later was priced and agreed upon before they were done. We met regularly on site with Yiannis and Lily to review each stage of the project. The third member of the team, Maria Verasdani, provided invaluable support with plans and drawings, workers’ insurance documentation, bureaucracy, ordering, and coordination with the power company (DEI). We made payments in stages as the work progressed and Yiannis, Maria and an external engineer helped us with our application to the “Saving at Home II” energy efficiency program.
